How to become “mom of the year” in 5 easy steps!

30 Dec

This is the easy way to make sure your children do not put you in a nursing home when your old.

Step 1: buy them whatever they want

When your child comes to you and asks for a pet…and they promise they will feed it, clean its cage, and love it(and you know in the back of your head that in 2 days you will be taking care of the rat) Just give it to them. Otherwise your going to a nursing home by the age of 60.

Step 2: never limit sweets

-when your exhausted and standing in line at the grocery store and your child is screaming for a giant lolly-pop…buy it for them. And laugh at the mom who is trying to ensure her child stays “healthy” because you know….that lady is soooo getting put in the dirtiest nursing home there is.

Step 3: Don’t make them clean up

-making children have responsibility is a sure fire “in a nursing home” mistake most parents make. You should never make your child resent you for making them take care of their things they wanted you to buy for them. Big, big, mistake.

Step 4: Let them use dangerous items unattended

- this one is highly debatable in most “parenting magazines” but all those washed up ladies will be put in a corner before they know it. In my opinion allowing your child to cut things with very sharp fabric scissors is perfectly fine. Because when I’m old I’ll be at the dinner table not in a cafeteria.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST!

Step 5: Love them no matter what

This one is simple….always make sure you take loving pictures with your children. This is a good reminder to your children when their changing your poopy diaper that at one time you were young.
